An impressive facility encompassing 44,000 sq.ft of exhibit, meeting, office and service space was designed by Atlanta architects Lyman, Davidson, Dooley, Inc. The 20-acre campus includes the Bartow Amphitheater and Pavilion, reflection ponds and walking trails. The conference center features 15 interior spaces designed to exceed the connectivity and function required by today's event planners. The official ground breaking ceremony was held July 1, 2009, where the official name was unveiled, chosen by Bartow County business and civic leaders to honor Bartow County Commissioner Clarence Brown. A year of construction followed under the direction of Hogan Construction Group of Atlanta. Following the forward thinking of Bartow County Government, the building was designed and constructed in adherence to Leadership in Environmental Engineering and Design (LEED) guidelines. The center opened on September 20, 2010 and was introduced to the public in a Grand Opening Celebration on October 10, 2010.
