Brown + Green = LEED® Gold
The center is named to honor longtime Bartow County Commissioner Clarence
Brown, whose forward thinking leadership team ensured that its design
and construction adhered to environmental guidelines, ultimately achieving
LEED® Gold certification. The center is operated by the Cartersville-Bartow
County Convention & Visitors Bureau according to an intergovernmental
agreement between Bartow County and City of Cartersville. A Georgia Regional
Visitor Information Center is also housed inside. Visitors and guests
are encouraged to "think green" as signage throughout the 40,000
sq. ft. facility and 20-acre grounds introduces the center's innovative
